The Reword Search Ring makes it easy to detect opportunities to improve your existing articles.

There’s a few things to know to get started:

  1. How to filter for low search scores

  2. How to visually identify a search ring opportunity

Using table filters to find low search scores

  1. In the left-side navigation, select ‘Articles

  2. Select the ‘+’ next to ‘All Articles

  3. Select ‘Search score’ from the filter dropdown

  4. Enter ‘less than’ followed by a number, e.g ‘70

What search rings make good opportunities?

Remember, the search ring is a visual representation of each individual search intent and how it aligns with your content.

To find opportunities, we want to be looking for search rings that have more yellow and red colours, as this means there is room for improvement.

Let’s take this search ring as an example:

We can see that the first 3 intents are doing well. However, the last 2 are not being completely satisfied by our article in its current state.

This represents an opportunity to improve these two search intents, so that search engines are more likely to recognize our article as a solution.
